Doomtrooper is an out-of-print collectible card game designed by Bryan Winter and first published around 1994 or early 1995 by Target Games and Heartbreaker Hobbies, drawing its setting and characters from the Swedish miniatures and role-playing property Mutant Chronicles. Players deploy warrior cards onto the table and fight to accumulate two separate kinds of points: Promotion Points, which determine the eventual winner, and Destiny Points, which are spent during play to recruit additional warriors and equip them with weapons and gear. Across the game's run, publishers released more than 1,100 unique cards sorted into thirteen distinct card types, giving the game a wide pool of warriors, equipment and effects to build decks from. A typical match runs about 25 minutes and supports two or more players, and although the physical card game eventually went out of print, the property was later revived as a digital adaptation that raised funding through a successful Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign.
