Bug Hunter (game)

Modern Conquest and War Games

Bug Hunter is a science fiction combat board game published by TSR in 1988, designed by Steve Winter using adapted rules from TSR's earlier Sniper! board wargame. The two-player game pits human soldiers against giant insect-like alien creatures in close-quarters tactical combat, translating Sniper!'s small-unit infantry combat system into a science fiction setting. As a rules adaptation rather than an original system, it represents TSR's practice of reusing proven wargame mechanics for new science fiction and combat-themed releases in the late 1980s.
