Rage (collectible card game)

Modern Hobby Strategy Games

Rage is an out-of-print collectible card game based on the tabletop role-playing game Werewolf: The Apocalypse, in which packs of werewolves battle one another and various evil monsters while trying to save the world. White Wolf first published it in May 1995, with sixty-card starter decks and twelve-card booster packs, and its sets included Limited and Unlimited, Umbra, Wyrm, War of the Amazon and Legacy of the Tribes. After White Wolf stopped printing it, Five Rings Publishing Group licensed a second version, designed by Luke Peterschmidt, which kept the card backs and the setting but used completely different mechanics and so could not be mixed with the first. The license later returned to White Wolf, Azrael Productions offered tournament support, and from 2003 fans produced new card sets for both versions.
