Tock is a board game in which each player races four tokens, or marbles, around the board from start to finish, and the first player to bring all four home wins. It resembles Ludo, Aggravation and Sorry!, and like Sorry! it is driven by playing cards instead of dice. It is described as a cross and circle game in the style of Pachisi, and its exact origins are unclear, though tradition holds that it came from the early settlers of Quebec. It is also known as Tuck in parts of Quebec and Atlantic Canada and as Pock in parts of Alberta. Aces and kings usually act as starters that bring a new token out, a token on its starting field blocks passage and cannot be captured, landing exactly on an opponent sends that token back to its start, and entering home needs an exact count. Many house variations give cards special moves, such as a four that moves backward and a seven that splits into single steps.
