Starwars (board game)

Modern Conquest and War Games

Starwars is a 1977 board wargame published by Gamma Two Games. Players command starships representing the rival Sol and Vega star systems and compete to seize control of each other's home worlds, making it an abstract space-conquest wargame rather than a licensed Star Wars film tie-in. A contemporary review in The Space Gamer (No. 16, 1978) by Norman S. Howe praised the game's presentation, noting the components were attractively packaged and illustrated and made of sturdy materials. The game is one of Gamma Two Games' early tabletop wargame releases from the late 1970s.
