Star Trek: Adventure Gaming in the Final Frontier

Role-Playing Games

Star Trek: Adventure Gaming in the Final Frontier is a role-playing game set in the fictional Star Trek universe, published and edited by Heritage Models from 1978 until the company dropped the Star Trek gaming license. In 1978 Paramount Pictures licensed Heritage Models to produce the first official Star Trek role-playing game and figure line, based on the original series and the animated series. Most player characters are Starfleet members on planetary exploration missions in the 2260s. The rules are split into a Basic Game, with pre-generated characters such as Captain Kirk and Mr Spock, and an Advanced Game with full character creation and extra combat rules. Characters have six attributes, Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Charisma, Luck and Mentality, rolled on 3d6 and modified by race, and ranged combat requires a 1d6 roll under a hit number.
