Mia is a simple dice game built around bluffing and spotting bluffs, and is related to Liar's dice. It needs two dice, a cup or a flat-bottomed container with a lid, and three or more players. Everyone starts with six lives, often tracked on a spare die. The roller secretly looks at the throw and announces a value, which may be true, higher or lower than the real result. The next player must either trust the announcement, roll and announce an equal or higher value, or call the previous player a liar and open the cup. If the dice show less than was announced the announcer loses a life, otherwise the challenger does. Announcing Mia, a throw of 21, forces the next player to give up or look. The first player to lose all lives loses.
