Dragon Ball Z: The Anime Adventure Game is a tabletop role-playing game published by R. Talsorian Games in 1999, licensed from the Dragon Ball Z anime. It runs on the Instant Fuzion rules system, a lighter variant of the Fuzion engine the publisher used across several of its licensed lines. The 144 page softcover rulebook was designed by Michael A. Pondsmith, Cindy Fukunaga and Paul Sudlow, with cover art credited to the anime's creator Akira Toriyama. Beyond core mechanics for martial arts combat and character creation, the book supplies introductory material summarizing the Dragon Ball Z setting and storyline, overviews of its main characters, and guidance for game masters building original adventures within the franchise, aimed at groups already familiar with the anime who wanted to run their own stories in its world.
