Burma is a two-player board wargame about the Second World War campaign for control of Burma, published by Game Designer's Workshop and designed by Marc Miller. One player commands the Japanese invaders, who invaded British-controlled Burma in December 1941 and by the end of 1942 held the country and threatened India. The other commands the Allied defenders, a hastily assembled alliance of British, Indian and Chinese forces trying to retake central Burma. The hex grid map runs from Ledo in Assam to Rangoon, and 240 die-cut counters represent infantry, artillery, tanks, engineers, chindits, transport aircraft and four American units. The rulebook is only eight pages long. Turns alternate between the two sides, each turn stands for one month, and the single scenario runs 26 turns from 1942 to 1945, with supply, airpower, the Burma Road and monsoon turns shaping play. Reviewers praised its realism and manoeuvre but found the rules sketchy.
