Eurojackpot is a transnational European lottery launched in March 2012, with its first draw held on March 23 of that year. Players choose five numbers from a pool of fifty plus two additional Euro numbers from a pool of twelve, competing across twelve prize tiers for jackpots that can range from about ten million to one hundred twenty million euros. As of March 2024 the lottery is played across twenty participating countries including Germany, Spain, Italy, Poland, and the Nordic states, with draws held every Tuesday and Friday evening local time in Helsinki. A standard line costs about two euros, though the price varies slightly by country, and the odds of matching all seven numbers for the jackpot are about one in nearly one hundred forty million.
