Star Probe

Star Probe is a science fiction board game written by John Snider, with artwork by Paul Snider, and published in 1975 by TSR, Inc. It was conceived as the first of a series of interconnected space games, intended to link with a later title called Star Empires that would use compatible rules and shared elements between games. The game comes with a thirty six page rulebook, a map and counters that one to eight players use to explore interstellar space, seeking out and colonizing new worlds while managing resources and accumulating wealth and materials along the way. With a stated playing time of around six hours, Star Probe reflects the long, exploration driven science fiction wargames TSR published in the mid 1970s alongside its better known fantasy roleplaying lines.
