Speed Circuit is a Formula One racing board game published by 3M in 1971 and later republished by Avalon Hill in 1977. Players race model cars around a track by allocating points among categories such as acceleration, top speed and wear, customizing their vehicle's performance before each race, then moving along the circuit while managing tire wear and cornering risk. The game supports two to six players, with rules allowing expansion to as many as twelve competitors when extra components are used. The 1977 Avalon Hill edition included three Formula One circuits, Monaco, Monza and Watkins Glen, reflecting real Grand Prix venues of the period. The original 3M edition used metal die-cast cars, while later editions substituted plastic pieces.
