Coppit is a running-fight board game created in 1927 by the German publisher Otto Maier Verlag under the original title Fang den Hut, meaning Capture the Hat, and was later re-released under the Coppit name by Spear's Games in 1964. Two to six players roll dice to move pieces around a shared track, aiming to complete their own circuit while using capturing moves to send opposing pieces back to the start, in a format similar to Ludo and other pursuit race games. Aimed at players aged five and up, a typical game runs between thirty and sixty minutes and remains a long-running family title across its various reprintings.
