Perquackey is a word game played with a set of thirteen lettered dice, ten black and three red, first published in 1956 by Hollingsworth Bros. and produced over the years by Lakeside Toys of Minneapolis and the Shreve Company of Los Angeles before Cardinal Games, based in Long Island City, New York, took over as its publisher. On a turn a player rolls the dice and has a limited amount of time to build as many words as possible out of the letters shown, reusing letters across different words as needed, with longer and less common words worth more points. Play continues through a series of scoring rounds until a player reaches a target score, most commonly somewhere between 2,500 and 5,000 points depending on the edition. Perquackey shares its dice-and-wordbuilding structure with Spill and Spell, another word game first published the same year, 1956.
