Utter Nonsense!

Party and Word Games

Utter Nonsense! is a party card game created in 2014 by Tim Swindle and Dave Mazurek, drawing on a college pastime and the popularity of Cards Against Humanity. One player acts as judge, drawing an accent card and dealing sentence cards to the other players, who each read their sentence aloud in the drawn accent. The judge picks the funniest performance, and its player keeps the accent card and becomes the next judge; play continues until a player collects a set number of accent cards, typically five. The deck holds 500 cards, 455 sentence cards and 45 accent cards. Originally sold through a local shop, the game was later picked up and marketed nationally by Target.
