Chor voli

Casino and Scoring Card Games

Chor voli is an Afghan card game for four players, each playing for themselves, with a standard 52-card pack and play running counterclockwise. Each player receives thirteen cards and sorts them into up to four three-card combinations, ranked from three of a kind down through a straight flush, a straight and a flush to three unrelated cards, which are similar to the hands of Brag. Cards that are not part of a valid combination are discarded face down. A player holding four of a kind ends the hand at once and takes the whole pool. Otherwise everyone contributes a chip beforehand, and the combinations are played out in rounds, strongest first, with the highest combination in each round winning a chip. The Pagat site classes it as a partition game similar to the British game Crash. Gyula Zsigri learned it from Sherzod Lukmoni in 1992, and a related three-player game called Ramchi, said to come from Pakistan, was described in 2011.
