David O'Connor

David John O'Connor is a retired American equestrian who represented the United States in three day eventing across two Olympic Games, winning team silver at the 1996 Summer Olympics and both individual gold and team bronze at the 2000 Summer Olympics. He also took individual silver and team gold at the 1999 Pan American Games and helped the United States team win gold at the 2002 World Equestrian Games. After retiring from competition in 2004 he moved into the administrative side of the sport, serving as president of the United States Equestrian Federation from 2004 to 2012 and holding top coaching roles with the American and Canadian national eventing teams.
