Piljke

Piljke is a traditional game played in parts of the Balkans using five small stones gathered from the ground. One player tosses a single stone into the air and, before it falls back down, must scoop up the remaining four stones from the playing surface, either one at a time or in small groups depending on the round being played, then catch the falling stone in the same hand. A player who fails to gather the required stones or drops the tossed stone loses their turn to an opponent. The game belongs to the same family of hand-eye coordination pastimes as jacks and knucklebones, passed down informally among children rather than through any governing body or published rulebook, and its exact regional origin within the Balkans is not precisely fixed in the record.
