Pcheda is a traditional game from Viswema in Nagaland, India, in which players throw thin bamboo sticks from a set distance. The sticks are thin dried bamboo called Opche. Players form two teams and each tries to throw the stick the furthest from a platform on solid mud, and the team that achieves the greatest distance wins. An open competition is held every year in January, and the Viswema contests have been reported in regional newspapers including the Eastern Mirror, the Nagaland Post and The Morung Express.
