Jegichagi

Jegichagi is a traditional Korean outdoor game in which a player kicks a small object called a jegi into the air and attempts to keep it aloft using only the feet. A jegi resembles a shuttlecock and is typically made from paper wrapped around a small coin, giving it enough weight to fall predictably while its paper tails let a skilled player control its flight with successive kicks. The game can be played solo as a test of foot control and balance, or in matches where players compete to keep the jegi aloft longest or complete the most consecutive kicks. Jegichagi is one of Korea's enduring traditional games alongside better known pastimes such as yut and jegi-related street games, and it continues to be played today both informally and as part of physical education in Korean schools, where it is used to teach coordination and balance to children through a simple object and an open space rather than specialized equipment.
