Butts Up

Butts Up, also known as Wall Ball and by regional nicknames such as Butt Ball, Fireball, and Chunkus, is a playground ball game built around throwing, catching, and a race to a wall. Players line up facing a wall while one player throws a tennis ball or similar small ball against it. If that thrower fails to catch the ball on its rebound, every player scrambles: the thrower must run toward the wall and touch it before another player can scoop up the loose ball and throw it to hit them. A player hit before reaching the wall is knocked out of that round, and play continues in this elimination style until only two or three players remain. The game's infobox lists three or more players as typical, with no set-up time, no fixed time limit, and no element of random chance built into the rules.
