The ADCC World Championship, formally the ADCC Submission Fighting World Championship, is an international submission grappling competition organised by the Abu Dhabi Combat Club. It is considered one of the most prestigious no-gi submission grappling tournaments in the world and is commonly referred to as the Olympics of Grappling. The inaugural tournament was held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, in 1998, and the event is held every two years, with host countries including Brazil, China, Finland, Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States. Competitors earn a place by winning ADCC trials or by invitation.
