Alessandra Sensini

Alessandra Sensini is an Italian windsurfer who competed at four Summer Olympic Games in the discipline of board sailing. She won a gold medal in the women's Mistral One Design class at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, a silver medal in the women's RS:X class at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, and bronze medals at the 1996 Atlanta and 2004 Athens Games, giving her four Olympic medals across three different windsurfing classes over her career. Beyond the Olympics she built a decorated record at the World and European Championships, winning multiple gold, silver and bronze medals at each over more than a decade of international competition. Sensini is widely regarded as one of the most successful windsurfers in the sport's Olympic history for the breadth and longevity of her medal winning career.
