Drew Ginn

Drew Ginn is an Australian former rower born November 20, 1974, who competed primarily in the coxless pair and coxless four boat classes. He won three Olympic gold medals, in the coxless four at the 1996 Atlanta Games and in the coxless pair at the 2004 Athens and 2008 Beijing Games, plus an Olympic silver in the coxless four at the 2012 London Games, competing at four Olympics in total after a severe back injury forced his withdrawal from the 2000 Sydney Games. A member of Australia's celebrated Oarsome Foursome crew from 1995 to 1998, he was a five-time world champion, winning the coxless pair title in 1999, 2003, 2006 and 2007 and the coxed four title in 1998. He received the Medal of the Order of Australia in 1997, the Thomas Keller Medal, rowing's highest individual honor, in 2014, and was inducted into the Sport Australia Hall of Fame in 2018.
