Ben Ainslie is a British sailor and the most successful competitor in Olympic sailing history, winning four gold medals and one silver across five consecutive Olympic Games from 1996 to 2012. He was appointed Knight Bachelor in 2013 for services to sailing. He later moved into the America's Cup, leading Britain's first challenge for the trophy in 60 years as skipper of INEOS Britannia in the 2024 match in Barcelona.
