Carl Lewis is an American former track and field athlete who won multiple Olympic gold medals in sprinting and the long jump across four consecutive Olympic Games from 1984 to 1996. He is regarded as one of the greatest athletes in Olympic history for his sustained dominance in both jumping and sprinting events over more than a decade.
