Kang Dongyun is a South Korean professional Go player born on January 23, 1989, in Seoul. He turned professional in 2002 and reached 9 dan, winning the Fujitsu Cup in 2009 by defeating Lee Chang-ho and the LG Cup in the 2015-2016 season by defeating Park Yeong-hun. He also won the Myungin and Chunwon domestic titles in 2008 and the KBS Cup in 2010, and took a gold medal in the men's team event at the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou.
