Chang Hao

Chang Hao is a Chinese professional Go player born on November 7, 1976, in Shanghai. A child prodigy who turned professional in 1986 and reached 9 dan, he became China's strongest player of the 1990s and one of the strongest in the world. He won three international titles, two Fujitsu Cups in 1998 and 2000, the 2004 Ing Cup, the 2007 Samsung Cup and the 2009 Chunlan Cup, along with twenty domestic titles including five Tianyuan championships between 1997 and 2001 and five Lebaishi Cup victories between 1998 and 2002. He was named to Xinhua News Agency's Top Ten Chinese Athletes of the Year in 2005 and won a silver medal in the team event at the 2010 Asian Games.
