Andre Agassi

Andre Kirk Agassi is an American former professional tennis player, born in 1970, who was ranked world number one in men's singles by the Association of Tennis Professionals for 101 weeks, including as year end number one in 1999. He won 60 ATP Tour level singles titles including eight majors, an Olympic gold medal at the 1996 Atlanta Games and the 1990 ATP Tour World Championships, and is one of only three men to complete the career Golden Slam in singles, after his ranking had fallen as low as number 141 in 1997 before a rigorous training regimen returned him to the top of the sport. He helped the United States win the Davis Cup in 1990, 1992 and 1995, and won his final major at the 1999 French Open to complete the career Grand Slam.
