Matthew Tunnicliffe is a Canadian competitive Scrabble player from Ottawa, Ontario, who won the 2015 North American Scrabble Championship in Reno, Nevada, defeating Jesse Day by more than 150 points in the final with a score of 495 to 344. A technical writer by profession, he defeated several of the tournament's top competitors, including reigning champion Conrad Bassett-Bouchard, en route to the title, becoming the third Canadian player in the championship's history to win it.
