Ganesh Asirvatham is a Malaysian-born competitive Scrabble player who later competed for the United States and won the World Scrabble Championship in 2003, held in Kuala Lumpur. His win was notable for coming as a non-native English speaker competing at the top level of a game built entirely around English vocabulary, and he remains one of a small number of players to have represented more than one country at the World Scrabble Championship over his career.
