Yang Wei is a Chinese former artistic gymnast, born in 1980 in Xiantao, Hubei, who competed at the 2000 Sydney and 2008 Beijing Olympics before retiring in 2009. He won Olympic team gold in 2000 and both team and individual all-around gold in 2008, along with an all-around silver in 2000 and a rings silver in 2008, for four Olympic medals in total. Across his career he also won eight World Championship gold medals and nine Asian Games gold medals, and is noted for maintaining high difficulty scores across all six men's apparatus.
