Janja Garnbret is a Slovenian competition climber born March 12, 1999, in Slovenj Gradec, the most successful athlete in the history of competitive sport climbing. She won Olympic gold in the women's combined event at both the 2020 Tokyo and 2024 Paris Games, becoming the first female Olympic gold medalist in climbing, and has won ten IFSC World Championship titles across lead, bouldering and combined disciplines between 2016 and 2025, more gold medals than any other climber. In 2019 she became the first athlete to win every bouldering World Cup event held that season.
