Hsu Shu-ching

Hsu Shu-ching is a Taiwanese weightlifter, born in 1991 in Lunbei, Yunlin, who competed for Chinese Taipei in the women's 53 kilogram category. She won Olympic gold at the 2012 London Games, after the original medalist was disqualified for doping, and again at the 2016 Rio Games, and set a world record total of 233 kilograms at the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon before also winning the 2015 World Championship. She retired from competition in June 2018 after a series of injuries and later received a three-year competition ban stemming from a 2017 doping case.
