Dina Averina is a retired Russian rhythmic gymnast who is the only gymnast to win four World All-around Championship titles, winning in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2021. At the Tokyo Olympics she won the silver medal in the All-around competition, finishing behind Israeli gymnast Linoy Ashram in a result that drew considerable controversy over the judging. She also won multiple European Championship titles and World Games medals over her career, competing at the top level of the sport for more than a decade. Averina retired from competitive gymnastics in February 2024 following a serious back injury that required surgery.
