Lilia Podkopayeva

Lilia Podkopayeva is a Ukrainian former artistic gymnast, born in 1978, who won the 1995 world all-around title and followed it with Olympic all-around and floor exercise gold at the 1996 Atlanta Games, along with a balance beam silver. She was the fourth gymnast in history to win an Olympic all-around title while the reigning world champion and the first to do so without also winning a team medal, and until Simone Biles in 2016 she remained the last woman to win both the Olympic all-around and an event final gold at the same Games. She is often described as a complete gymnast for blending power, style and balletic grace.
