Alessandro Del Piero

Alessandro Del Piero (born 9 November 1974) is an Italian former professional footballer who mainly played as a second striker, although he was capable of playing in several offensive positions. He is regarded as one of the greatest players of all time and one of the greatest in Juventus's history, and he holds the record as the second highest all-time Italian top scorer in all competitions with 346 goals. He spent almost his entire club career at Juventus from 1993 to 2012, making 705 appearances and scoring 290 goals, before finishing his career at Sydney FC and Delhi Dynamos. He won 91 caps for Italy, scoring 27 goals, and was part of the Italy squad that won the 2006 FIFA World Cup. With Juventus he won six Serie A titles and the 1995-96 UEFA Champions League, and he was named to the FIFA 100 list of the greatest living players in 2004.
