Felice Gimondi was an Italian professional racing cyclist who, with his 1968 victory at the Vuelta a Espana, only three years after turning professional, became the second cyclist ever to win all three Grand Tours of road cycling: the Tour de France, the Giro d'Italia and the Vuelta a Espana. Nicknamed The Phoenix, he is one of only eight cyclists in the sport's history to have completed the full set.
