Kobe Bean Bryant, born in 1978 and died in 2020, was an American professional basketball player who played his entire twenty year career with the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. Nicknamed the Black Mamba, he was a five time NBA champion, two time NBA Finals MVP, and the NBA Most Valuable Player in 2008, and he won gold medals with the United States Olympic team in 2008 and 2012. He is regarded as one of the greatest basketball players of all time.
