Vanessa Selbst is an American poker player born July 9, 1984, from Brooklyn, New York. She won three World Series of Poker bracelets in open-field events, in 2008, 2012 and 2014, the only woman to do so, and became the only woman to reach number one in the world on the Global Poker Index. In January 2013 she won a 1.4 million dollar high roller title at the PCA, becoming the highest-earning woman in poker history, and her career live tournament earnings exceed 11.8 million dollars. She holds degrees from Yale University and retired from poker in 2018.
