Dawn Fraser is an Australian former competitive swimmer who won the Olympic gold medal in the 100 meter freestyle at three consecutive Olympic Games, from 1956 to 1964, a feat unmatched by any other swimmer in that event. She is regarded as one of the greatest sprint swimmers in history.
